Deborah Nas studied Industrial Design in Delft, after which she set up innovation projects at Philips and KPN in the Netherlands and abroad. As one of the founders of strategic innovation agency Sunidee, she supports organisations such as Philips, Heineken, Unilever, LeasePlan, Ziggo, the Netherlands Forensic Institute and various municipalities. She specialises in determining new growth possibilities, coming up with new products and services and transforming organisations. As manager of Cre8, a social enterprise in design and urban manufacturing, she experiments with new business models for a better world.
These past few years, this much sought-after speaker has been working as a part-time professor lecturing on ‘Strategic design for technology-based innovation’ in Industrial Design at TU Delft. Here she focuses on strategic questions concerning new technologies. Questions like: In which markets will a specific new technology be used first? How does this change existing business models? Which new products and services does this enable? What does the roadmap look like? Which latent needs can be addressed? Claudia Roessler is the Worldwide Industry Solutions Director for Chemical & Agriculture industries. In this role she is accountable for defining and executing Microsoft’s growth strategy in the industry, the unique industry value proposition and Microsoft’s partner and solutions map.
Claudia Roessler is developing solutions that address the business processes and business model innovation of Enterprises in the industry. She represents the ‘voice of the customer’ as the industry solution champion within Microsoft working with the Engineering and Microsoft Research teams.
Prior to that, Claudia was Business Development and Strategy Analyst responsible for global organizational design, change management and talent development across worldwide teams. Claudia Roessler joined Microsoft in 1992 in Germany. She held several international roles with focus on Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Partner and Industry.

Sebastiaan Berendse is responsible for the development and coordination of WUR’s activities to realize more economic and social value. Value creation is, in addition to research and education, an important pillar of Wageningen University & Research and is about creating impact through application in practice.
The corporate department includes startup policy (including StartLife & student incubator), tech transfer / IP services, coordination with WR business development, shared research facilities & Wageningen Campus development, the Science Shop and Wageningen Dialogues.
Sebastiaan previously worked in business services (KplusV), technical education & research (TU Delft) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (coordinator of the Innovation Attaché network). He has been working for more than 15 years in the field of business development, valorization, innovation clusters, start-up and scale up support and international cooperation in R&D.
His passion is to contribute directly to the global transitions in raw materials, energy and proteins, as a business consultant (RSM Erasmus / HHStockholm).

Adam is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Anterra Capital, a venture capital fund focused on investing in innovative companies that are transforming the safety, security and sustainability of global food. Anterra is backed by Rabobank (the world’s largest food and agriculture bank) and Fidelity. Anterra is presently the largest food and agriculture innovation focused fund in the world, with offices in both Europe (Amsterdam) and the USA (Boston).
Adam grew up on a farm and is passionate about improving our food and agriculture system. He believes that the best way to do this is to bring strong entrepreneurs to the food and agriculture sector and work in co-operation with farmers, large food and agriculture corporations, academic institutions and other stakeholders across the value chain. Adam has over 15 years of private equity and venture capital experience. Prior to working for Anterra he worked for Rabo Private Equity and Bain & Co. Adam holds an MBA degree from Cambridge University, England and a Bachelors Degree in Law and a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from the University of Adelaide, Australia.
Independent consultant alternative proteins
Jasmin Hume is an expert in alternative food proteins, consulting for food technology companies globally. Jasmin leverages deep expertise in biochemistry, materials science, and food science to advise companies using approaches with plant protein or cellular agriculture to bring transformative, sustainable foods from concept to reality. Prior to starting her consultancy Jasmin was the Director of Food Chemistry at JUST (fka Hampton Creek), having designed and built their high throughput functional plant protein discovery platform. Before entering the food industry, she worked at STMicroelectronics in Italy and at Lux Capital in NYC.
Jasmin holds a doctorate in Materials Chemistry with her thesis on protein engineering from NYU, a Masters in Materials Science from Chalmers University, as well as a bachelors in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
Proagrica President of the Americas
Proagrica President of the Americas Matt Waits joined SST Software in 1999 after attending Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Matt served several roles in the organization before being named CEO in 2012. When SST was acquired in 2018 Matt was chosen to lead Proagrica’s mission to integrate and revolutionize data capabilities across the agricultural supply chain in the Americas. His passion has been spearheading efforts to standardize agricultural data in the development of an infrastructure known as agX. Matt is determined to see his vision of profitable and cohesive data-driven agriculture become a reality.

Yasir Khokhar is Founder and CEO of Connecterra, a company with a vision is to build an artificial intelligence that will learn to grow food sustainably. We employ technologies such as machine learning and cognitive computing on sensor data to create an AI that works for farmers.

Manager Advanced Data Analysis and Application Development at CNH Belgium N.V.
Vik Vandecaveye has a Sonology degree from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and a Masters in Industrial Business Administration from the University of Ghent. After running his own business in streaming internet services, he joined CNH Industrial in the supply chain department, where he took care of data management at all levels of planning and execution. He continued with executive reporting, and expanded into market intelligence and statistical analysis.
Vik Vandecaveye was at the birth of a business unit for precision agriculture, where he designed the strategy for connectivity and analytics. His mission is to build the eco-system with many stakeholders of the agricultural value chain. Vik also chairs the “Digital Farming” workgroup in CEMA, the voice of the Agricultural Machinery in Europe.

Ros Harvey is an experienced entrepreneur and executive in the field of technology – particularly the Internet of Things (IoT) and user-centric design. Ros is committed to creating public good through the innovative use of technology, which is reflected throughout her career.
Having founded The Yield in 2014, Ros heads up a team of leading engineers, data scientists, agriculturists and technologists, who work together to ensure that The Yield solutions offer long-term value to growers and industry. The company is backed by several global giants including Bosch, KPMG and Microsoft.
Ros founded the globally-recognised Better Work program, a landmark joint program of the World Bank and the United Nations. She co-founded the Australian Food Agility Consortium and is an Adjunct Professor at the QUT Institute for Future Environments in Intellisensing. A passionate advocate for the role of technology in the sustainable governance of the planet, Ros is an accomplished speaker on AgTech, IoT, converting data to knowledge and the future of food.
